Haritaki: 12 Major Health Benefits (Latest Findings)

Interested in learning more about the wonderful health benefits of Haritaki, long known by traditional holistic medicine?

You’re in the right place!

There’s a growing interest among alternative health practitioners and herbalists concerning the healing properties of this amazing herb.

Let’s find out a little more about the plant itself, then we’ll find out its main uses and benefits and then learn just how easy you can take advantage of it yourself.

Haritaki is an herb primarily used to increase your metabolism and cleanse the blood, and comes from the fruit of the Terminalia chebula tree.

The chebula tree grows up to 30-meters tall, with a trunk that measures approximately 1 meter when full grown. The small nut-like fruits contain an elliptical-shaped seed covered by a fleshy and rigid pulp.

The dried fruit can be consumed either dried or in powder form.

  1. This is the first place I’ve read you can’t take it for an extended period of time. I’m taking it mostly for the spiritual benefits..ala cleansing the penial gland and opening third eye. Plus the health benefits are nice. Several yogies have taken it for years with no issues.
